Lesson 1: TOL Learning Model
The Tree of Life to Tree of Life Learning Doctrine
Top 10 Principles
1.
It is important to have Faith in the Bible as God’s Living Word and to
anticipate revelation when studying.
•
The Bible is one continuing Revelation from Genesis to Revelation.
•
Only the Bible from Genesis to Revelation can be viewed as
inherent.
•
The Bible is the history of creation through redemption of the
Kingdom of God.
•
Look for analogy, comparing correct behavior, actions and attitudes
with incorrect. Teaching the Spiritual through the Physical.
•
View your own relationships and experiences against those found in
the Bible and try to see them through God’s eyes.
•
The Bible is always correct even if we can’t understand it.
The Tree of Life to Tree of Life Learning Doctrine
Top 10 Principles
2.
We need to understand God’s Original Intent and Ending Intent to fully
understand scripture.
3.
It is important to understand the Heart of God and to have a
Heart for God as the Bible is written from God’s point of view.
•
4.
God is a person and has emotions and intellect.
Replace the word Jew with You!
•
We should understand the time, place and audience the scriptures
were delivered to.
•
The scripture would not be in the Bible if there was not something
God wanted all humanity and you personally to know and
understand.
The Tree of Life to Tree of Life Learning Doctrine
6.
Faith in Yeshua, means Yahweh Saves, is the key for unlocking the
Fullness of meaning from the Bible.
7.
God is about Redemption. Redemption means: Reuniting to God (Echad)
in Shalom (Peace and Wholeness) that which was lost to sin.
8.
•
God redeems remnants, because remnants repent into faith.
•
God redeems out of pain and suffering, because people in pain and
suffering repent into faith or choose to deny God.
•
God redeems the righteous, because they are people of faith.
•
Satan and angels and some people choose evil over God.
•
God redeems for His Glory and Glorifies the Redeemed.
God will judge the evil to perish, because he loves his redeemed.
The Tree of Life to Tree of Life Learning Doctrine
9.
God does not change but reveals more of Himself as people mature
Spiritually. Trinity, Law and Grace, I am the God of Abraham, Isaac and
Jacob
10. Study the commentaries of others but always come into agreement with
the Bible.
•
Some Rabbinic, Church, and Messianic doctrine is tainted or
skewed by un-Belief, Pride, anti-Semitism and Scripture
Misunderstanding that has become embedded as foundation
principles and practices.
•
Rabbinic- Talmud as equal to God’s Word. Messianic Kingdom
Focus
•
Church- Replacement Theology of Church for Israel: Church
Age Focus
•
Messianic- Slanted toward Judaism rather than Jewish
Messiah
•
Jewish Messiah- Focused on a relationship with Yeshua/Jesus
Genesis 12:1-3 The LORD had said to Abram, “Leave your country,
your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will
show you. “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I
will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and
all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
Mark 10:28-32 Peter said to him, “We have left everything to follow
you!” “I tell you the truth,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home
or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me
and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this
present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—
and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life.
Matthew 23:7-12 they love to be greeted in the marketplaces and to
have men call them ‘Rabbi.’ “But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for
you have only one Master and you are all brothers. And do not call
anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.
Nor are you to be called ‘teacher,’ for you have one Teacher, the Christ.
The greatest among you will be your servant.
Summary Principle: God wants to change our paradigm
from a World View to a Messianic View!
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come
that they may have life, and have it to the full or abundantly.

Kingdom of God (KOG) Importance
Why study the Kingdom of God (KOG)?
• The Kingdom of God is the most pervasive theme in the
Bible under which all other lessons fall under.
• You will grow in love and faith for God and the Bible as you
see a theme transverse 66 books written by many authors
over 1500 years and are able to see God’s Truth in your life.
• You will better understand the role of Yourself, Israel and
the Church in End-Time events.
Kingdom of God (KOG) Importance
Why study the Kingdom of God (KOG)?
Luke 4:43-44 But he said, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom
of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.”
Luke 6:20 (Beatitudes-Sermon on the Mt.) Looking at his disciples, he said:
“Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.
Matthew 11:10-14 I tell you the truth: Among those born of women
there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is
least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. For all the Prophets
and the Law prophesied until John.
Daniel 7:27 Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms
under the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints, the people of
the Most High.
His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship
and obey him.’
The Kingdom of God
The Kingdom of God is the eternal spiritual home
where Believers will live with God in infinite blessing,
provision, love, joy, intimacy & holiness as his children.
The Kingdom of God is the very purpose and will of
God expressed in creation and the Bible.

When our Doctrine is wrong AND OUR Faith is weak, we often treat the
symptoms of problems, while not repairing the Root cause of pain. The
pain keeps resurfacing perhaps in different areas.
John 15:5-8“ I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in
him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you remain in
me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.
This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be
my disciples.
The Feasts of the Lord and Hebraic Holidays have their
Full Meaning in Messiah!
The Feasts have more meaning for the Church which is
Believing Israel and Gentiles!
Matthew 5:17-19 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the
Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter,
not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until
everything is accomplished. …but whoever practices and teaches these
commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Colossians 2:15-18 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or
drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath
day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is
found in Christ.
Ephesians 2:13-3:1 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away
have been brought near through the blood of Christ.
For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed
the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law
with its commandments and regulations.
His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus
making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God
through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.
Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens
with God’s people and members of God’s household, built on the
foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the
chief cornerstone. And in him you too are being built together to become
a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
Citizenship Parable and Parable of the 3 Students
Romans 11:12-25 I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle
to the Gentiles,
I make much of my ministry in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own
people to envy and save some of them.
If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive
shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing
sap from the olive root, do not boast over those branches.
After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary
to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will
these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree! I do not
want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers,
so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part
until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.
Romans 9:1-5 I speak the truth in Christ—I am not lying, my conscience
confirms it in the Holy Spirit—
I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart.
For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the
sake of my brothers, those of my own race, the people of Israel.
Theirs is the adoption as sons; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the
receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. Theirs are the
patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of Christ, who is
God over all, forever praised! Amen.
Why don’t the Jewish people get it?
Parable of Muslim and the Christian Post 911
Anti-Semitism is Real-If you’re a Jew
Roman Church State: Subsequent writings by church fathers (and church
leaders throughout church history) condemned Jews, accusing them of being
idolaters, torturers, spiritually deaf, blasphemers, gluttons, adulterers,
canibals, Christ-killers, and beyond God's forgiveness. With the rise of the
Church-State, certain religio-political attitudes such as Jesus ruling the world
through the Roman Christian government became evident in the Church.
The Justinian Code The Justinian Code was an edict of the Byzantine
Emperor Justinian (527-564). A section of the code negated civil rights for
Jews. Once the code was enforced, Jews in the Empire could not build
synagogues, read the Bible in Hebrew, gather in public places, celebrate
Passover before Easter, or give evidence in a judicial case in which a
Christian was a party. Decrees by the early Catholic Church (partial list)
Crusades The Catholic Church launched a series of nine holy wars from 10961272. The purpose of these wars was to march to the Holy Land of Palestine
and liberate it from Moslem "infidels." Along the way, the crusaders massacred
all "infidels" in their path who refused to be baptized on the spot to Christianity.
Thousands of Jews were massacred in Germany and France.
The Inquisition was a tribunal established in the Middle Ages (13th Cent.) by
the Catholic Church in Rome designed to suppress heresy. The Dominican
order had set as one of their goals the conversion of Jews to Christianity. This
aim, backed by the power of the Inquisition, brought on a wave of
persecution.
Protestant Reform Martin Luther (1483-1546) founded a new Christian faith,
Protestantism, in the 16th century. Martin Luther became one of the most
intensely bitter anti-Semites in history. His writings described Jews as the
anti-Christ, worse than devils. Jews were poisoners, ritual murderers, and
parasites, he preached, and they should be expelled from Germany. His view
was that synagogues should all be burned to the ground, and all Jewish books
should be seized.

Isaiah 53
We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the
LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Yet it was the LORD’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the
LORD makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and
the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.
After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his
knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.
Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with
the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the
transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the
transgressors.
Jonah 1:1-3 “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its
wickedness has come up before me.” But Jonah ran away from the LORD and
headed for Tarshish.
Jonah 3:4-9 On the first day, Jonah started into the city. He proclaimed: “Forty
more days and Nineveh will be overturned.” The Ninevites believed God. They
declared a fast, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on
sackcloth.
…the king of Nineveh, …issued a proclamation in Nineveh: “By the decree of
the king and his nobles: ..Let everyone call urgently on God. Let them give up
their evil ways and their violence. Who knows? God may yet relent and with
compassion turn from his fierce anger so that we will not perish.”
(Jonah is angry because he hates the Assyrians and God says) But Nineveh has
more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right
hand from their left, and many cattle as well. Should I not be concerned about
that great city?”
Isaiah 49:6 he says: “It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore
the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make
you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of
the earth.”
Revelation 22:11-16 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,
the Beginning and the End. “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they
may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the
city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral,
the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches.
I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”
