STUDENTSLIVE BROADWAY DREAM CAMP 2010
BROADWAY INTENSIVE MISSION:
The StudentsLive Broadway Dream Camp allows Students the opportunity to experience, first hand, the best live, Broadway
interactive theater education programs, taught by the best, highly trained Broadway specialists, our country has to offer. It
allows these young students to experience the intensive training of a professional, successful and highly disciplined Broadway
Artist and the myriad skills required in collaboration, interrelation, communication and human exploration. The goals are to
expand and deepen students understanding and familiarity with all areas of Broadway theater and to enhance their studies in
human behavior, culture, intention and expression. Through challenging music, dance, acting and “behind the scenes” studies
physically, verbally and intuitively, we prepare them to be highly competitive in whatever career they choose to pursue as well
as prepared for the best universities and opportunities our country has to offer.
BROADWAY DREAM CAMP DATES:
Four Weeks: January 2010 to February 2010
9:00am to 1:00pm Monday through Friday
**This camp is closed, ask about dates for your group.**
Final Presentation at end of camp includes a compilation of 40 Broadway Musical Theater Production
Numbers tied together with an original book entitled
“Journey to America”
Presentation held at an Off-Broadway Theater for Invited Broadway Professionals and Guests.
Lunch, Awards Ceremony and Broadway Certificates will follow.

STUDENTSLIVE PROFILE
Since 1998, StudentsLive’s Award-Winning live interactive education programming have attracted over 500,000
participants of all ages from the widest range of cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. These participants have
come from as far away as Guam, The UK, Italy, and from all across the United States. The League of American
Theatres and Producers and Theatre Development Fund have awarded StudentsLive grants six years in a row for
Outstanding Education Programs on Broadway. StudentsLive’s programs are now attracting adult groups and tour
internationally in collaboration with presenters all across the world
Guest Speakers and supporters at their high profile Exclusive Student Matinees and Workshops on Broadway have
included Judge Judy, Geraldine Ferraro, Criminal Defense Attorneys Mickey Sherman and Johnnie Cochran,
Tommy Hilfiger, Rikki Klieman of Court TV, Police Commissioner Bill Bratton, WNBA star Tameka Dixon,
Kathy Lee Gifford, Susan Lucci, and Sheriff Michael Hennessey in San Francisco, to name a few. Broadway and Film
Actors who have participated in their workshops have included George Hamilton, Chazz Palminteri, Reba McEntire,
Bernadette Peters, Jasmine Guy, Charlotte D’Amboise, Joey Fatone, Scary Spice, Brenda Braxton, Michael
McElroy, and others. StudentsLive’s programs have been recognized as vital to New York City’s Arts and Education
Initiatives nationally by Mayor Bloomberg and Mayor Giuliani, and have received letters of support and praise from
Former President Bill Clinton and Senator Hilary Clinton, respectively. Their programs have also been covered and
written about in national and local print and electronic media by The New York Times, The Jane Pauley Show, Court
TV, Variety, The Daily News, The New York Post, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, UPN, Channel 1, Playbill Online, and
BroadwayWorld, to name a few.

StudentsLive supports alternative learning and cross cultural and interdisciplinary opportunities for all ages, and provides
educators, schools and organizations with expert consultation, staff support and informational materials and resources.
AMY WEINSTEIN
PRESIDENT, CEO AND FOUNDER OF STUDENTSLIVE
DIRECTOR OF BROADWAY DREAM CAMP 2010
Amy Weinstein has been developing, creating, marketing and producing education programs in partnership with some of
the finest Broadway Artists and Creative teams since 1998. A leader and pioneer in curriculum based standards and exciting
and educational custom designed workshops and presentations, she has been recognized as a cutting edge and highly
effective creative presence within public and private schools nationwide. She has been dedicated to arts and education for
the past twenty years. Graduating from New York University with a degree in theater and communication, she began her
work early on as a theatrical talent agent and casting director in Hollywood. Due to her expertise and comprehensive focus
on education, she was asked to teach acting to at-risk teenagers with Jean Stapleton's foundation, The Academy of
Performing and Visual Arts in East Los Angeles. Out of her work with these artistically talented and gifted young people,
she co-wrote and directed a musical play entitled Second Chance, which toured as an Equity TYA contract to over 350,000
students in California and surrounding states. National mental health experts recognized the play as an inspirational arts
model for crisis intervention, and interpersonal issues amongst teenagers at risk throughout the country. WGBH/PBS was
so impressed with the play they commissioned it for adaptation to teleplay in 1996. Ms. Weinstein served as a producer on
the project. She also traveled and spoke internationally to world class competitive athletes, teaching presentation and
interpretative performance skills. Ms. Weinstein continued her work in the New York area as an improvisation and acting
teacher at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy as a senior member of the faculty, directing graduation
showcases for international musical theater students from around the world. She was soon after hired as education director
by Tony Randall's Not-For-Profit Broadway Tony Award Nominated National Actors Theater.
With NAT for the past seven years, Ms. Weinstein created study guides and workshops in conjunction with NAT's
Broadway shows for 46 New York City Public Schools specially selected to receive, free of cost, NAT's education programs
and to experience the classics on Broadway. Recent shows included, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, starring Al Pacino
Judgment at Nuremberg, starring Maximillian Schell, The Gin Game, starring Charles Durning and Julie Harris and
Night Must Fall starring Matthew Broderick. She hired, trained and developed programs with and for experienced teaching
artists and professionals in the theater, education and film communities and built bridges for students in New York to
experience the comprehensive, interdisciplinary, social, cultural, political and personal values of theater.
She currently works as a writer, director and producer both On and Off-Broadway and created StudentsLive Inc. for the
sole purpose of facilitating the large demand for her programs and services. Her talented staff consists of two or three
program directors, college and high school interns, and a large cadre of volunteers in the theater communities. She has
designed implemented, supervised and trained teachers and artists in educational programming curricula worldwide from
theatre and dance academy students in Rimini Italy, to elementary school theatre curricula programs in the Bronx, New
York. to International Broadway Theater Summer Camps for international students and families traveling to the United
States. Her programs have gained national print and electronic press attention including Court TV, CNN, The New York
Times, ABC, NBC, CBS and various local media outlets for their educational, entertaining and artistic value. Her excellent
relationship with leaders in the cultural, social and political communities has helped tie the Broadway community into new
audiences and inspire a greater understanding of the importance of theater arts in young people's lives.

Past keynote speakers at her events have included Johnnie Cochran, Geraldine Ferraro, Rikki Klieman of Court TV,
Judge Judy, Tommy Hilfiger and various Broadway stars including Reba McEntire, Bernadette Peters and Jasmine
Guy.

YASMINE LEE
CHOREOGRAPHER
Yasmine Lee is a native New Yorker and has been dancing for approximately 5000 years. She was awarded scholarships to
train at the Elliot Feld New Ballet School as well as the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. She has performed in more
than 30 countries on some of the world’s most preeminent stages with various dance companies and theater groups. Most
prominently, Lee was a soloist with world renowned MOMIX Dance Theater for over 15 years, where she is credited for her
choreographic collaborations and has served as both dance captain and rehearsal director. She has performed for the Emir
of Qatar, and in the inauguration ceremonies of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain (1997). She served as both
rehearsal director and performer in the multi-media presentation of “Brown Butterfly” (Marlies Yearby). Along with Carla
Fracci, Lee was a featured performer in Italian pop icon Renato Zero’s 1999 Italian National “FONOPOLY” stadium tour
and appeared in the television special by the same name. Yasmine is also featured in “The Dunham Technique” video
(Directed & Produced by Terry Carter), which is archived in the U.S. Library of Congress. Lee can be seen in Julie Taymor’s
feature film “Across The Universe” as well as other feature films, television specials, music videos and commercials.
Yasmine has served as Associate Choreographer to the Broadway show RENT since 2004, and as has lectured and taught
master classes worldwide to professionals and children alike. As stage manager: Litchfield Jazz Fest (2004); Earl Mosley’s
diversity of Dance (where she is also credited for lighting design); A Langston Hughes celebration (’04-’06). An avid
educator, Yasmine also teaches fitness and health to non-dancers and is certified to do so both by New York University and
the National Academy of Sports Medicine; pre/post natal fitness by the International College of Sports Medicine; and
Pilates mat series by the Physical Mind Institute. Yasmine is also a sports specific coach, a certified yoga teacher, and
certified as a Wellness Coach through Wellcoaches/American College of Sports Medicine.

GREG BROWN
MUSICAL DIRECTOR
Greg Brown (Music Director) is thrilled to be working again with the wonderful folks at StudentsLive and with this
amazing and brave group of kids! As music director and musician, Greg's past credits have included The 25th Annual Putnam
County Spelling Bee (Broadway and Chicago companies), Spamalot (1st Nat'l Tour), The Boy Friend directed by Julie Andrews
(Nat'l Tour), Romantic Poetry (Manhattan Theatre Club), A Year With Frog & Toad, No Dogs Allowed (Atlantic Theater), Rent
(Weston Playhouse), You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Two River Theater), Abyssinia (North Shore Music Theater), The
Trouble With Doug (CAP21), Oedipus For Kids! (NYMF '05), and 19 productions with Goodspeed Musicals in CT. In addition
to his work on these and other theater productions, Greg loves teaching, and has worked with everyone from Broadway
stars on down to beginners.
KELLY FEUSTEL
PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
Kelly Feustel (Production Assistant) is excited to join the StudentsLive team and to return to her passion of educational theatre. Since
graduation from Hofstra University with a BFA in Theatre Arts, Kelly has become an AEA Stage Manager (My Heart in a Suitcase –
ArtsPower National Touring Theatre); a Playwright & Producer (Peter – Queens Theatre in the Park; Words – Gene Frankel Theatre); an
Artistic Director (Dreamcatcher Theatreworks); a practiced Stage Hand (Queens Theatre in the Park); and an Actress with experience
ranging from Musical Theatre to Indie Film. Besides delving into different aspects of theatre, Kelly loves to work with kids in all
capacities. She has taught dance, tennis, and has tutored Japanese language.
BRYAN CAMPIONE
CAMP ASSISTANT
Bryan Campione is a native of Buffalo, N.Y. He has trained in dance with the David DeMarie Dance School and acted from
elementary school through attending the University of Dayton (2006). Key roles include Leading Player (Pippin), Anselmo (Man of La
Mancha) Rusty Charley (Guys and Dolls) and Rooster (Annie). Aside from acting and dancing, Bryan was the Assistant Choreographer for
his alma matter's production of The Pajama Game (2007) and continues to be engaged in new theatrical projects. Bryan is the current
Associate Programs Director for Students Live - Broadway Educational Programs. He has also worked for the Walt Disney Company,
Cisco Systems, and the NY Theatre Review. With a degree in French and minors in Spanish and Communications, he is very excited to

be working with the Dream Camp! Having travelled and studied throughout the world and worked with foreign students and their
families the past 5 years, Bryan has a deep appreciation for international studies and education, and helping to acclimate those new to
new cultures, languages and theater. He thanks his family, friends and co-workers for the support and opportunities he has had, and
looks forward to new endeavors and friendships in the future!
JESSICA JAMES
CAMP ASSISTANT
Jessica James is happy to continue her life long love of theatre with this great program. Having worked with children and youth groups
around the country Jessica has witnessed first hand the power of theatre in the lives of all persons. After attending American University
in Washington, DC, Jessica returned home to New York eager to be a part of live theatre. She has worked in sales and marketing on the
business side of Broadway and had the privilege of witnessing truly amazing performances on the Broadway stage. Her love for
education and bringing live theatre to new audiences drew her to this position with StudentsLive. Jessica is proud to be part of a team
doing such wonderful work - educating children and young adults in the language, understanding and appreciation of theatre - an
education that will hopefully continue throughout their lives.
