Fall off the Board (Adapted from Glencoe Mathematics, Course 1) Players: two or four Materials: 2 different colored number cubes 2 different colored counters Get Ready: Use the game board handout . If you do not have the game board, draw a game board. It should look like the following: -6 -5 -4 -3 -2 -1 0 1 2 3 The board should be big enough to place your game piece on the board. 4 5 6 Directions: Let one number cube represent positive integers and the other represent negative integers. Each player places a counter on zero. One player rolls both number cubes and subtracts the numbers shown. If the answer is positive, the player moves his or her counter right the number of spaces indicated by the sum. If the answer is negative, the player moves the counter left the number of spaces indicated by the sum. Players take turns rolling the number cubes and moving the counters. Who wins? The first player to go off the board in either direction.
