Transcript
The CNRS-UPMC FRE 2846 Research Unit (Plant Cellular and Molecular Physiology
Laboratory; http://pcmp.snv.jussieu.fr/) located at University Pierre et Marie Curie
(University Paris 6) in Ivry-sur-Seine until 2007 (and on the Jussieu campus in Paris
afterwards) wishes to host an ATIP team in 2006. A surface of 50 square meters, with
full access to the laboratory facilities, will be allocated to the new team.
The main topics developed in the Unit are:
- Perception and signaling of cold stress and its consequences on metabolism of
membrane lipids (formation of second messengers, lipid unsaturations) and
related proteins (phospholipases, synthases).
- Transduction of the signal generated by abscisic acid (lipid signaling, tyrosine
phosphatases).
- Blue light perception and cryptochrome activity (autophosphorylation, electron
transfer).
- Lipid signaling (phospholipases D, PI-3 kinase) and regulation of proline
metabolism upon hyperosmotic stresses.
- Development and shift to autotrophy, role of mitochondrial membrane carriers.
Laboratory facilities include rooms for isotope manipulation and culture rooms for
plants.
The scientific environment in Ivry comprises two other laboratories working on plant
biology. The laboratory is a member of a Federative Research Institute on integrative
biology (http://ifr-bi.snv.jussieu.fr/), and has access to several technological platforms
(including mass spectrometry and imaging; for details, go to http://ifrbi.snv.jussieu.fr/Pages_cadres/plateau_technique.html).
