WERMA is now able to offer an integrated I/O link in certain signal
tower families. This feature offers the user many advantages and
is the first internationally standardised IO link technology to
enable communication with sensors and actuators.

WERMA is now able to offer an integrated I/O link in certain signal
tower families. This feature offers the user many advantages and
is the first internationally standardised IO link technology to
enable communication with sensors and actuators.
The two signal tower families KombiSIGN 40 and ClearSIGN not only
provide a unique light picture but also ensure all-round 360° visibility
thanks to the new OmniVIEW lens design. Both signal towers are
compact and elegant in design and offer a high IP66 protection rating.
Being very easy to assemble and install saves time and money, the
high IP 66 protection rating allows the towers to be deployed in extreme
conditions and they are able to withstand extreme operating
temperature fluctuations.
I/O link offers many advantages
The integral I/O link is a big plus for KombiSIGN 40 and ClearSIGN.
The function allows simplified control of the signal tower via an I/O
master port. This saves both time and money compared with traditional
hard wired control feature. The use of a standard 3 pole cable further
simplifies installation.
ClearSIGN: send a clear signal with style
The compact and contemporary design of ClearSIGN is combined with
the latest technology to give optimum functionality. If no signal is
triggered the signal tower appears to sit discreetly in the background
thanks to the semi-transparent housing design. Once illuminated, the
unique light picture generated is unmistakable.

I/O link offers the users many advantages; for example different
operating conditions can be set up in parameters and the light picture,
colours and brightness can be adapted to a customer’s preference.
ClearSIGN can be used as a level or temperature indicator: The tower
“fills” up from the bottom as the level of material being monitored
increases and when the maximum pre-set fill has been reached the
tower will change colour. All of which is easily programmable with I/O
link.
No more compromises with KombiSIGN 40
The compact design modular KombiSIGN 40 has a diameter of 40mm
and can accommodate up to five different colours. The light elements
are especially bright and extremely good recognition of the illuminated
tower is assured thanks to the 360° all-round visibility given with the
new OmniVIEW lens. The LED light elements “TwinLIGHT” and
“TwinFLASH” combine options of two light effects in just one
component and the two options are priced at “two for one”.
The compact signal tower with I/O link is easy to install and use simply
because no parameters need to be programed. The functionality is
restricted to the simple on/off operation of each light which makes it
most easy to use in an SPS program.
The modular concept of the signal tower family offers a comprehensive
range of optical light- and audible elements together with various
mounting accessories for a wide range of installation requirements.
