PART II – Potential mini-project ideas
Cultural Backgrounds
Create a Wiki that promotes your understanding of
your culture, family, and history. Use this as a
homepage for YOU, available for all to see and learn.
Political Rights
Create a Podcast Debate with 2-3 students where
you speak on issues such as voting rights, political
parties, government structure etc where a problem
is defined and solutions offered in a discussion type
forum for the class to listen and have reaction too.
Cultural Experience and Learning
Visit a cultural event (different than your own) in a
community (small or large scale), interview
community leaders, and post pictures and a blog of
the event on BubbleShare
Communication
We will continue to keep in touch outside of school
using either a class Wiki created by the teacher or
through the use of Imbee
Cultural Encounter and Affects
Through Viddler, create a interpretation of a single
perspective to any cultural encounter covered in
class (Christopher Columbus/Native Americans,
Immigrants etc). Present this in class along with the
alternate points of view from the other classmates.
