Modeling Percents




Ratios like 41 out of 100, 25 out of 100, or 2 out of 100 can be written as PERCENTS.
A percent (%) is a ratio that compares a number to 100.
The word “percent” means out of one hundred.
You can use a 10 × 10 grid to model percents.
