Marine biotopes for microorganisms
2 h theory
Classification of marine habitats and their main environmental factors: ligth,
temperature, pressure, turbidity, pH, Eh, salinity, inorganic and organic
nutrients, dissolved gases, etc..
Basic taxonomy of the marine microorganisms
3 h theory

5 h theory 9 h practice
Influence of the environmental factors on the microbial life;
Microbiological methods of study: sampling (seawater, sediments,
organisms), microscopic examination, culturing techniques, direct counts,
methods for biomass determination
Role of the microorganisms in the sea
