The English version of Microsoft Word supports the spelling, grammar, and thesaurus features in more than
80 foreign languages. You can even check different languages in the same document as can be seen by the
simple phrase below, which appears in English, Spanish, and French. Support for Spanish and French is
built in at no additional cost, whereas you will have to pay an additional fee for other languages.
To change the language in effect, select the phrase, pull down the Tools menu, click the Language
command, and then click the Set Language command. You will have to check this document using
proofing tools in English, French, and Spanish. Note, too, that we entered the French and Spanish phrases
without accents, trusting in the proofing tools to make the corrections.
