Theory Exam
1. Fill the gaps with the appropriate words:
1) Before testing the trunk extensor muscle, the therapist should test hip
extension and
Neck extension.
2) The insertion of the Tibialis anterior lies at 1st (medial) Coneiform
and 1st Metatarsal.
3) To isolate the Brachioradialis muscle, the forearm positioned in Mid
position between pronation and supination.
4) The nerve supply for anterior Deltoid muscle is Axillary nerve.
5) Difficulty in raising the trunk from a forward-bent position is due to

a- Mention three types of functional joints and give example of each:

2. Slight movable joint: the sacroiliac joint and symphysis pubis.
3. Movable joint: the hip joint.
b- Manual muscle testing is:
is a procedure for the evaluation of the function and strength of
individual muscles and muscles group based on effective performance
of a movement in relation to the forces of gravity and manual
resistance though the available ROM.
