SIRT6, 1-355aa
Human, His tagged, Recombinant, E.coli
Cat. No. SIR0901
Cat. No. SIR0951
Size: 0.5 mg
Size: 100 ug
Full name: sirtuin (silent mating type information regulation 2 homolog) 6 (S. cerevisiae)
Synonym: sirtuin 6, SIR2L6
NCBI Accession No: NP_057623
Description: The SIRT6 is included in class IV of the sirtuin family, homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein. The
functions of human sirtuins have not yet been determined; however, in yeast sirtuins are known to regulate
epigenetic gene silencing. Also SIRT6, a chromatin-associated protein, appears to be involved in DNA repair.
Recombinant SIRT6, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by conventional
chromatography techniques.
