1. Describe the evolution of Epidemiology and its importance to public health and
health care in general.
2. Discuss the concepts of Epidemiology.
3. Analyze how epidemiology can be a useful tool and predictor of health care costs.
4. Explain the concepts related to measurement and incidence of disease in
populations.
5. Develop a study design to evaluate a chronic or infectious disease based on the
concepts of epidemiology.
6. Construct a diagram or time line that follows a chronic or infectious disease
episode.
7. Investigate a disease outbreak and evaluate the data collected.
