Job Title: FINANCE DIRECTOR Overview This full time position leads the Finance function of the Fraternity and collaborates closely with FHC to manage the consolidated financial assets of Pi Beta Phi. This position oversees integrated accounting operations, the budgeting process, financial reporting, tax preparation and is responsible for overall strong financial management to further the mission of Pi Beta Phi. Key Responsibilities Oversees the full scope of accounting operations for the Fraternity, FHC and offsite FHC facilities. Maintains a comprehensive set of internal controls. Direct timely and complete month-end and year-end financial reporting in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Coordinates annual audit and tax preparation with external audit firm. Prepares and presents annual budget to Grand Council and FHC Board of Directors. Reports ongoing actual to budget results and explanation of variances to monitor progress and highlight trends. Serves on the Fraternity Investment Committee and as liaison with external financial advisors. Partners with the Human Resources Director to ensure accurate payroll and benefit reporting for employees. Provides ongoing financial support and education to stakeholders. Researches and develops policies and procedures for program improvements or cost savings. Maintains a reliable accounting system and documentation of accounting policies and procedures. Spearheads or serves on project teams as needed. Reporting Relationships Reports directly to Executive Director of Fraternity/FHC Travel Some travel required. Qualifications Education/Knowledge/ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field of study with a minimum five years experience or any equivalent combination of experience and Experience training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Knowledge of and strict adherence to GAAP reporting procedures. CPA preferred.
