Synthetic Phonics Weekly Program
Handwriting is linked to the phonics program. In addition to learning the sounds, students practise forming the
letters on paper, individual whiteboards and in the air. Students use large pencils, whiteboard markers, chalk and
large textas. .
DICTATION - regular dictation is an essential part of the program.
BASIC CODE – 14 weeks; REVISION of BASIC CODE – 9 weeks; ADVANCED CODE – 12 weeks
