Tuppeny from the College of Occupational Therapists in the UK. The workshop will
only be held twice. The two locations are Dublin and Waterford.
The Facilitators
Karin Bishop and Sharon Tuppeny are highly experienced occupational therapists
specializing in children’s services.
Karin Bishop has worked at the College of Occupational Therapists (COT) since

service reviews and projects for clients, within the health, social care and private
sectors, and facilitating training for services and BAOT members. Since August 2012
Karin has been carrying out an additional role as Interim Head of Professional
Practice. Her clinical and managerial experience was gained working in various
roles including Regional Specialist and Head of Service at the Newcomen Centre,
Guy’s Hospital London.
Sharon Tuppeny is currently working as an independent occupational therapy
consultant on a number of projects including the commissioning of children’s
occupational therapy services, supervision for a paediatric service and development
of resources for children’s occupational therapists for COT. Sharon was the
Professional Affairs Officer for Children Young People and Families at COT, a role
which involved promoting children’s occupational therapy at a national level and
supporting occupational therapists in their practice. Her clinical and managerial
experience was gained in a number of roles including managing Children's Therapy
Services for City and Hackney PCT.
