GEOMETRY DICTIONARY
DATE__________ PERIOD__________DUE DATE______________________
NAME________________________________
This will be a test grade.
As we explored the shapes and designs book you created a shapes
sections to track information you learned about geometry as well as
discoveries you made in real life.
This project can be created in one of the following ways, a book, a
power point slide show, a mobile, a poster or a method approved by
Mrs. Fraser
Each page of your dictionary must include:
a) a term
b) a picture in real life: pictures may be actual
photographs, cut outs from magazines or newspaper
(make sure to identify the location of the term in the
picture with a highlighter or dark colored marker)
c) definition of the term
d) page number (the terms must be in alphabetical order)
Make sure to include a title page which has your NAME and CLASS
PERIOD. A table of contents is the second page of your dictionary
and needs to include the terms with the page number where the term
can be found. Your Book dictionary is to be bound in some way…
securely stapled, tied with string, folder with brads, report cover.
Slide Show must be on a disk/zip drive(if necessary you could email
me the Power point “[email protected]”).
Your terms must be bound/displayed in alphabetical order.
You will be graded accordingly:
_____Title page………..5points (title, name, class period)
_____Table of contents...5points (terms listed with page #’s)
_____Bounded……....5points (secured/in alphabetical order)
_____25 terms………75points (3 pts each term, correct
definition, labeled visual picture)
_____Neatness…………10points
______TOTAL…………100points
Choose 25 terms (the 10 with asterisk*are required)
