Introduction
Granby Clinic isn’t just a dental practice, it’s a pioneering
health clinic. It opened its door in 2014 as an extension
to the award-winning Pembroke Dental. With three
surgeries and a consultation room, it was always going
to be more than an average dental practice. Today, it’s
a multi-purpose clinic with:
a podiatrist and foot clinic on a Saturday
a skin aesthetician and clinic – Rejuve@Granby
a specialist eye surgeon
a physical therapist and Body@Kinetic clinic
and of course the high quality dental
treatment that our patients have come
to expect, 6 days a week.
PLUS: In addition to the looks, we’ve got the green credentials.

The practice
environment
There are lots of aspects to Granby Clinic that our
patients appreciate: the state of the art treatment
rooms, 13-car onsite parking, the calming waiting
room, our friendly team and the fact we are the only
practice in town that is fully wheelchair accessible.
We have our dedicated receptionist, Sarah Dooley
who keeps the clinic organised, booking in both
dental patients as well as clients of any one of the
other practitioners on site. Patients often comment
on her kind nature and the way that she goes out
of the way to help them.
“Amazing customer se
rvice!! My son had an
emergency
today and needed a
dentist... Pembroke@G
ranby was
just amazing. Your rec
eptionist even showed
my son the
room he’d be treated
in and fitted him in the
following
hour! You’ve got your
self a whole family of
new
customers and more!
Thank you.”

Maria Mynhardt
Maria Mynhardt moved up to Granby Clinic on its
opening day and has been our full-time dedicated dental
nurse every since. Maria has helped nurture the growth
of the clinic and is another regular, friendly face for our
patients. She says:
“We are all so proud of Pembroke@Granby.
It’s great to see how it’s grown from month to
month, not just in terms of setting up but also
in terms of the volume of lovely new patients
that we have, their support and recommendations
to other people.”

Dr Lisa Doyle
Dr Lisa Doyle, the full time dentist, previously practised
as a generalist at Pembroke Dental before embarking on
specialist orthodontic training. Now she is lead dentist
at the Granby Clinic offering advanced orthodontic
treatments too.
Lisa is very popular with our patients, providing a wide
range of treatments including the Fastbraces system. In
line with our preventive approach, Lisa does not believe
in trying to ‘sell’ a patient any treatment that they do
not need. She will only provide Fastbraces treatment for
patients with mild cosmetic issues. Otherwise they are
referred to our visiting orthodontic specialist.
“I had an emergency thi
s morning and the
staff of Pembroke Denta
l booked me into
their branch in Granby
Row for 12.30pm.
I was taken in straight
on the spot by Lisa.
Fabulous and friendly se
rvice.
Thanks so much!!!”

Extra! Extra!
Principal dentist Brenda Barrett’s marketing plan was always to draw in
practitioners offering ancillary healthcare services. It was also her plan
for Granby Clinic to serve as Pembroke Dental’s specialist dental hub.
All visiting specialists, including an orthodontist, periodontist, restorative
specialist and oral surgeon are based here.
The Pembroke Dental laboratory is easily accessible to Granby clinic and
very convenient to our patients. As a satellite of Pembroke Dental, we play
a role in going out into the community, treating the residents of a home for
people with learning difficulties. This is something we do without remuneration.
Other training we have undertaken as a team includes a resuscitation
course delivered at the practice. And as a team we participated in the
Athy triathalon, the Triathy.
Since Granby Clinic opened we have extended the opening hours and are
now available all day on a Saturday as well as until 7pm on a Saturday.

Design & Innovation
We are very lucky to have an architect in the family.
Dermot Geogheghan, the husband of our principal
dentist, Brenda Barrett, was the person responsible for
the design and refurbishment of the building. He took
the almost derelict building and transformed it into a
modern, well lit and attractive healthcare centre.
He put compliance issues at the forefront of his design,
so we meet health and safety regulations at all times.
Dermot also gave a lot of thought to sustainability
and our eco-credentials include:
A cloud based system so that we use less paper
Low energy lighting
Triple glazed windows
Full roof insulation
