Summary: The Renaissance or the rebirth was able to flourish in Northern Italy largely due to the extreme amounts of wealth
they gained through trade and major ports cities developing in Italy. Many wealthy started to become patrons of the arts like
the De Medici family. The Renaissance saw extreme changes in the arts and literature. The arts used realism, perspective,
individual emphasis and a rebirth of classicalism in the art.
