This information is furnished to you as a courtesy by the Municipal Court of Tom Bean to assist you in making a disposition of the charge(s) filed against you.
INSTRUCTIONS: READ CAREFULLY
The following MUST APPEAR before the court on the date indicated on your citation: if you are a Juvenile (ages 10-16), all alcohol related
charge(s), all tobacco related charge(s), all drug related charge(s), all assault and family violence charge(s), speeding @ age 16 and under, and all
speeding 25 mph over posted speed limit. DO NOT mail payment.

How to pay your fine: Mail payment to: Municipal Court of Tom Bean, PO Box 312, Tom Bean, Texas 75489. Check the appropriate
plea below. The fine must be paid by CHECK or MONEY ORDER. DO NOT SEND CASH. Send a copy of your citation and this plea
form with your payment or you may appear in person at the Tom Bean Municipal Court and pay your fine in person. Phone calls ARE
NOT accepted as an appearance in court.
If you enter a plea of Not Guilty: You MUST appear in court on the date specified when you contact the courts. You have the right to
request a trial by jury if you so desire.
If you wish to enter a plea of Not Guilty or Nolo Contendere (No Contest): Please indicate your request in the space below. A plea
of Nolo Contendere means that you do not wish to contest the charges filed against you.
How to request Deferred Disposition: Please indicate your request in the space below. This request is a 90-day probationary period
for dismissal of a moving traffic violation. This plea enters a guilty judgment and judgment will be removed upon completion of the
probationary period and payment of a non-refundable administrative fee of $50.00. This fee is in addition to your fine amount. You must
provide a copy of your driving record.
Driving Safety Court (Defensive Driving): You may take a defensive driving class as long as you qualify thru the following
requirements: Valid Texas license (no CDL) and Insurance at time citation was issued, citation was for driving less that 25 mph over
the speed limit and have not taken the Defensive Driving class in the last 12 months. A fee of $103.00 in exchange for your fine
amount is due by the date on your citation. Once the fee is paid you have 90 days to take a defensive driving class and send the
certificate to us. You must also provide a copy of your driving record. Once this is done, the citation will not go on your driving record.
Due to restrictions by the State of Texas, no extensions can be given on this citation.
Failure to Appear in court: If you fail to take care of your citation, by mail or in person, by your court date this will result in a WARRANT
being issued for your arrest and an additional charge of FAILURE TO APPEAR will be assessed.

You have 10 days from the date of citation to show proof of Driver’s License, Inspection, or Registration. There will be a $10.00 dismissal fee instead of the
regular citation fee if obtained within the 10 day period.
