The Broomfield SILC mathematics long term plan for KS 3 and 4 is based on the National Curriculum Programmes of study for Key Stage 2 but
incorporates the requirements of KS3.
Appropriate connections between the sections on number and other strands should be made when teaching.
Some parts of the programmes of study may be too demanding for some pupils. Staff will need to use their judgment, together with knowledge of each
pupil's attainment and pace of learning, before making decisions about the application of particular parts of the subject.
