THE TORTOISE VERSUS THE HARE Audition
An audition will be held for the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) production of THE
TORTOISE VERSUS THE HARE (day, date and location) from (start time) to (end time). Those
auditioning should arrive at (start time) and plan to stay for the full two hours. Most of the cast
members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.
Approximately 50-60 roles are available for local students. All students, grades (list grades
eligible i.e. 1st through 12th grade), are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary.
Most students will rehearse approximately 4 ½ hours each day, Monday through Friday. The
performances are scheduled for (date, time and location).

A fresh look at a favorite story comes to (name of community) this (date of performance) when
the Missoula Children’s Theatre and more than 50 local students present THE TORTOISE VERSUS
THE HARE. This original musical adaptation of the classic fable will be presented at (location and

THE TORTOISE VERSUS THE HARE is part of the Missoula Children's Theatre's unique

THE TORTOISE VERSUS THE HARE Audition
An audition will be held for the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) production of THE TORTOISE
VERSUS THE HARE (day, date and location) from (start time) to (end time). Those auditioning should arrive at

Among the roles to be cast are the wise Tortoise- Coach Shelley Bowlback , the conceited Curly Hare,
Esther and her daughter Little Bonnie Bunny, the rascally Weasels, the singing service station Ferrets and the
scaly Reptiles. Other roles include the Thespian Troupe, Curly’s Posse, the TV Crew and the rowdy Curly Hare
Fan Club. Students, ages (list grades eligible i.e., 1st through 12th grade), are encouraged to audition. No
advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the
week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.
The Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and
makeup. The MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from (start time) to (end
time) each day.
THE TORTOISE VERSUS THE HARE will be presented on (day and date) at (location). The Missoula

HARE. Playing the title characters, Coach Shelley Bowlback and Curly Hare, are local students (name) and
