NATURAL MULCH AND WOOD CHIPS Brown Mulch is a double ground natural mulch that has been created from brush collected from Ulster County residents. Natural mulch is slow to breakdown (about two years if used for landscaping) and adds valuable nutrients to the soil. $10/yard Uses: Residential and Commercial Landscapes. Great for landscape beds due to its nice compaction. Wood chips are rough ground created from brush and trees. Great for paths and trails! $10/yard Compost made from food collected from several college dining halls and one local retail store. Organic waste is nearly one third of the waste stream but has a great use when composted using mulch that is made on site then run through a screen. $30/yard Materials are available seasonally.
