Effects of this medicine
This medicine is a sterilization antiseptic which has a powerful bactericidal action to a wide range disease germ.
It is usually used to disinfection of hands and skin; disinfection of the skin and mucosa of an operative site (surgical
field); disinfection of the wound part of the skin and mucosa, and infection skin site; vaginal douching; washing and
disinfection of conjunctival sac; disinfection of operating room, sickroom, furniture, instruments, goods and medical
devices.
Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist
・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
・If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal
effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

・For disinfection of hands and skin: In general, after enough washing with usual soap and rinsing away with water, dip
in the medicine diluted 100 to 200 times (0.05 to 0.1 % of the active ingredient), and clean off with sterile gauze
etc. For washing hands before an operation, brush for 5 to 10 minutes.
For disinfection of the skin of an operative site (surgical field): In general, wash with the medicine diluted 100 times
(0.1 % of the active ingredient) for about 5 minutes, and apply the medicine diluted 50 times (0.2 % of the active
ingredient).
For disinfection of the wound part of the mucosa of an operative site (surgical field) and disinfection of skin and
mucosa: In general, disinfect with the medicine diluted 400 to 1,000 times (0.01 to 0.025 % of the active ingredient).
For disinfection of an infection skin site: In general, disinfect with the medicine diluted 1,000 times (0.01 % of the
active ingredient).
For vaginal douching: In general, douche with the medicine diluted 400 times (0.025 % of the active ingredient).
For washing and disinfection of conjunctival sac: In general, wash with the medicine diluted 500 times (0.02 % of the
active ingredient).
For disinfection of medical device: In general, dip in the medicine diluted 100 times (0.1 % of the active ingredient)
for 10 minutes. Or when disinfecting strictly, preliminarily wash the medical device with 2 % sodium carbonate
solutions, and then boil for 15 minutes in the medicine diluted 100 times (0.1 % of the active ingredient).
For disinfection of an operating room, a sickroom, furniture, an instrument, goods, etc.: In general, apply with the
piece of cloth or spray the medicine diluted 50 to 200 times (0.05 to 0.2 % of the active ingredient).
Strictly follow the instructions in any case.
・Since this medicine for external use, do not put into a mouth or do not drink.
・Be careful for an undiluted solution or thick liquid not to go into the eye. When these liquid goes into an eye
accidentally, wash away well with water.
・Since the bactericidal action of this medicine is decreased by kind of soap, use this medicine after fully washing out
soap.
・If you miss a use, use as soon as you remember. You should never use 2 times at once.
・If you accidentally use more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
・Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
Precautions while taking this medicine
・Since it may be made to deteriorate leather goods, do not use it for disinfection of leather goods.
Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash and itch. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with
your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated
in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor
immediately.
