 Characterizatin of mycobacteria spp. based on phoenotypic techniques.
 Determination of drug susceptibility for M. tuberculosis , Non-tuberculosis mycobacteria and
Nocardia spp. (proportional method and broth microdilution test).
 Application of PCR restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis (PRA) for molecular
identification of mycobactria and nocardia.
 Preperation of In-house Databasees based on molecular marker ( such as 16SrDNA gene, hsp65
gene, rpoB gene and Internal Transcribed Spacer gene) for identification of mycobacteria and
nocardia.
 Phylogenetic analysis based on molecular markes which can used for species identification in
mycobacteria spp. and nocardia spp.
 Riboprinting and PFGE for investigation of molecular epidemiology
 RAPD PCR for investigation of molecular epidemiology
