Clinical Consultation Candidate Profile Mobile and Relief Clinical Services Clinical Consultation Group Contract details The framework for Mobile and Relief Clinical Services covers the following areas: Mobile + Modular Imaging/Theatre, Static Imaging/Theatre. We are presently undergoing a tender process to provide a new Framework agreement commencing summer 2014. This is a new contract area to us and the intended strategy is to deliver a clear route to market when procuring mobile or relief clinical services within the healthcare sector. This will be undertaken by using a Clinical Consultation group to assist in the tender process. Definition of a Clinical Consultation Group: A group of medical and procurement experts brought together by NHS Supply Chain to provide clinical input, expertise and guidance on key issues, ensuring our product range meets the needs of our customers, the NHS. Vision: To support the trading buyer in the review and validation of the various specifications, non-financial questions and customer supporting documents which will form part of the tender and call-off process. The ideal candidate for this Clinical consultation group would match the following criteria: Expertise – Must have knowledge and experience in the utilisation of one or more of the following areas: Mobile + Modular – Imaging – MRI, CT, PET CT, mammography, ultrasound, X-Ray, bone densitometry Theatres/endoscopy suite/wards/clinics. Static (offsite) – Imaging – MRI, CT, PET CT, mammography, ultrasound, X-Ray, bone densitometry Theatres/endoscopy suite/wards/clinics. Example role titles could be: Consultant radiologist Radiology services manager Medical estates director/deputy Infection control specialist Surgeon Anaesthetist Resuscitation officer IT services manager Health and safety manager Safeguarding lead. Additional desirable criteria: • Membership of the relevant professional association • Excellent communication skills • Ability to influence others and implement change. Terms and Conditions of Clinical consultation group membership: • Maintain confidentiality • Provide relevant feedback to information requested • Attend and participate in scheduled meetings and conference calls • Represent the views and interests of healthcare organisations by acting as a reference, resource and sounding board to NHS Supply Chain.
