important to minimize adverse reactions and maximize efficacy. To obtain a better therapeutic response,
patients should understand their medication and cooperate with the treatment.

Effects of this medicine
This medicine is a synthetic corticosteroid preparation. It has various actions to improve inflammation, allergic
symptoms, and suppress immunoreaction.
It is usually used to treat various diseases such as inflammatory disease, allergic disease and immune disease.
However, it does not eliminate the causes of these diseases.
Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist
・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have: infection, generalized mycosis, peptic ulcer, psychosis, tuberculosis, herpes simplex keratitis, posterior
subcapsular cataract, glaucoma, hypertension, electrolyte abnormality or thrombosis.
If you had a surgery in internal organ recently.
If you have a history of acute myocardial infarction.
If you are a hepatitis virus carrier.
If you have just received a vaccination.
・If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal
effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)
・Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is((

・In general, for adults, take 5 to 60 tablets (5 to 60 mg as the active ingredient) daily in 1 to 4 divided doses. The
dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms. When used for malignant lymphoma, in combination
with antineoplastic agent(s), maximum daily dose is 100 mg per square meter of the body surface area. When used
for acute phase of Kawasaki's disease, in general, take 2 mg per 1 kg of body weight daily in 3 divided doses. The
maximum daily dose is 60 tablets (60 mg). This medicine contains 1 mg of the active ingredient in a tablet. Strictly
follow the instructions.
・If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the
missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
・If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
・Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so. Sudden discontinuation of this medicine
may cause withdrawal symptoms (fever, headache, loss of appetite, lassitude, muscle pain, joint pain, shock, etc.).
Precautions while taking this medicine
・Pay attention to infection with chicken pox or measles. Consult with your doctor immediately if you suspect to
acquire these infections.
・In animal experiments, teratogenicity has been reported. If you notice pregnancy while on this medicine, tell your
doctor or pharmacist. If you wish to become pregnant, consult with your doctor.
Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include moon face (rounding of the face) and rash. If any of these
symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated
in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor
immediately.
・cold-like symptoms, malaise, fever [induced infection, exacerbation of infection]
・nausea, thirst/dry mouth, fatigability [secondary adrenocortical insufficiency, diabetes mellitus]
・nausea, black stool, abdominal pain [gastrointestinal ulcer/bleeding/perforation]
・feeling depressed, feeling unmotivated, convulsion [psychiatric disturbance, depressive state, convulsion]
・lower back/back pain, joint pain, muscle stiffness [osteoporosis, aseptic necrosis of bone head in femur, humerus,
etc., myopathy]
The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your

Storage conditions and other information
・Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
・Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
