Asian elephants are interesting. Elephants are mammals. Its natural
habitat is tropical rain forests and mountains. Asian elephants are found in
China, India, and Indonesia. Their length is 20 feet and a height of 10 ft.
and weight 11,000 lbs. Its color is gray with bumpy skin. An elephant is a
plant eater because they eat plants. They prefer to eat grasses, leaves, trees,
shrubs, and wild mangos.
The loss of habitat is the primary threat to elephants. The homes of
many elephants are being cleared for many reasons. Settlement and logging
are the main ones. I don’t want Asian elephants to die because they don’t
kill other animals.
Baby Asian elephants can communicate with each other by sticking
their trunk in the adults mouth. These heaviest of all land animals actually
walks on their toes. The trunk of an elephant is the longest nose of any
living animal. Elephants love water. Its hard to predict what elephants will
do. Elephants are social animals. Elephants have lived on Earth for a long
time. Elephants lived on Earth for 40 million years ago. Elephants have
helped people build cities, fight battles, and have fun.
