It is a landlocked country geographically divided between the
Alps, the Swiss Plateau & the Jura, While the Alps occupy the
greater part of the territory, the Swiss population of 8 mil is
concentrated mostly on the plateau, where the largest cities are
to be found: among them the two global & economic centers
Zurich & Geneva. The country has a long history of armed
neutrality & only joined the UN in 2002. Nevertheless, it
pursues an active foreign policy & is frequently involved in
peace-building processes around the world. It is home to
numerous international organizations. Switzerland comprises of
four main linguistic & cultural regions: German, French, Italian &
Romansh, although the majority of Swiss speak German. It is
one of the most developed countries in the world. It has
received about 15 000 refugees.

For migrants /refugees to be accepted as people who
need to settle somewhere & that they will be able to
find ways to provide for themselves.

For sufficient resources for groups reaching out to
refugees.

England’s terrain mostly comprises of low hills & plains,
especially in central & southern England. The capital, London,
is the largest metropolitan area in both the UK & the EU. The
English Language, the Anglican Church & English law (the basis
of the common law legal systems of many other countries)
developed in England & the country’s parliamentary system of
government has been adopted by other nations. The Industrial
Revolution transformed England into the world’s first
industrialized nation. England has received about 17 000
refugees.

It is a small densely populated country located in Western Europe
with 3 island territories in the Caribbean. The port of Rotterdam is
the largest port in Europe & was the world’s largest port from 1962
– 2004. Most of the areas below sea level are man-made.
“Netherlands” literally means “lower countries”. It is very densely
populated country – 408 people per sq km. The Netherlands is the
2nd largest exporter of food & agricultural products after the USA.
It has a long history of social tolerance & is generally regarded as
a liberal country, having legalized abortion, prostitution, euthanasia
& same-sex marriages while maintaining a progressive drugs
policy. It hosts many international organizations & courts. It has
received about 20 000 refugees.

It emerged as a major European power in the late Middle Ages,
with its victory in the Hundred Years war (1337-1453). During the
Renaissance, French culture flourished, & a global colonial
empire was established, which by the 20th century would be the
2nd largest in the world. The 16th century was dominated by
religious civil wars between Catholics & Protestants. In the 18th
century, the French Revolution overthrew the absolute monarchy,
& established one of the earliest republics. Napoleon took power
& launched the 1st French Empire. France was a major
participant in the 1st & 2nd World War. France has long been a
global center of art, science & philosophy & receives the most
foreign tourists in the world annually (83 mil). It has received
about 22 000 refugees.
