Find the greatest common factor (GCF) of 24 and 18.
Method 1:
1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24
1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 18
The greatest (biggest) factor they have in common is 6!
Method 2:
Multiply the numbers along the side: 2 x 3 = 6. The GCF is 6!
Find each GCF (Greatest Common Factor).

5. 48, 54 _______
6. 32, 36 _______
Find the lowest common multiple (LCM) of 6 and 8.
Method 1:
6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36
8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48
The lowest multiple they have in common is 24!
Method 2:
Multiple along the “L” (for LCM): 2 x 3 x 4 = 24. The LCM is 24!
Find each LCM (Lowest Common Multiple).
