textual information. The software is a fundamental management tool to simplify the
workflow in cinema, advertising, animation and video games industries.
Story Planner allows a streamlined creation of a storyboard with sketches and notes laid out
in an unlimited number of panels. Sketches can be created with a full set of raster-based
drawing tools, or any image can be imported; captions and notes can be added and
formatted. Storyboards can be printed out, or exported as PDF files.
Story Planner PRO adds to the standard features the possibility to compose complex
animatics in a timeline editor. Audio tracks can be added and edited to create a sound track.
After a real-time preview, the animatic can be generated with a single-click command, and
the animatic information can be exported to Final Cut in the XML Interchange Format.

With Story Planner storyboard drawings can be done directly on the computer by using a
graphic tablet, and captions for the each sketch can divided into sections and formatted in any
font family and style.
The story flow can be organized in scenes containing more than one panel, so that also the more
complex shots can be laid down graphically. Scenes and panels can be added, deleted and
rearranged at any moment during the storyboard creation.
Additional information, such as camera movements like panning and trucking, or arrows to
indicate actions in the shot, can be added to complete the shot definition.
Complete storyboards can be printed out by a printer, or electronically as PDF files.
The print layout can be chosen among a set of predefined ones, or it can be completely
customized by setting sketches, notes and information size and position on a template page.
Story Planner PRO adds to the standard features the possibility to compose complex
animatics in a timeline editor. Moreover, the timeline controls the animation of the camera
and of graphical elements placed in sketch layers. Audio tracks can be added and edited to
create a sound track in sync with the animatic, and transitions like dissolve, fade and wipe,
can be used. After a real-time preview, the animatic can be generated with a single-click
command, and the animatic information can be exported to Final Cut in the XML Interchange
Format.
