OBJECTIVES
Find how Graphene can
improve sensor
performance.
 Investigate the material
in it’s pressure,
magnetic, humidity,
gas, and sound
pressure devices.
 Use bottom up
fabrication methods to
mass produce the
sensors.


The magnetic sensor is based on
the Hall effect.
Hall Effect – “A magnetic field
induces a Lorentz force on
moving electric charge carriers,
leading to deflection and a
measurable Hall voltage”.
Uses a hexagonal boron nitride
substrate.
The Graphene sensor in
comparison with a silicon based
sensor is significantly better.
Silicon based sensor produced
70 volts per amp-tesla.
Graphene device produced
7000.



Improve applications of Graphene-based
sensor to compete with established
technologies.
Implement Graphene-based sensors into the
market within the next 5-10 years.
Continue looking for ways to use Graphene in
commercial technology.
