General Duties: I participate in conceptual meetings and transfer requirements into wireframes and prototypes. I help convert existing desktop applications to web applications. I help design individual portlets for the internal portal and have also redesigned the portal, including the header and various graphics in the past. I worked extremely close with the development team before design and after development to clean up existing GUI issues. I spent a lot of time creating graphics, look and feel, and working prototypes for the salespeople and developers to use when pitching to clients or developing the project into a working database-driven application. I also took existing sites or desktop applications and adapted them to the current Thomson standards and guidelines, usually under very short deadlines.
