One postcard, your view, post it,
share it.
These little cards will leave you and reach
us. Their exhibition begins when you post
them. We want your View, a View from
your window, a View you love, a View you
want to express. It can be the inside of a
room, your imagined ideal View, an idyllic
place, a View you need to share. It can be
a View in words, how you feel, what you
think. Post your View! Let it travel and be
seen.
After the phenomenal success of POST NUDE we invite you to be part of
this brand new posted art exhibition POST VIEW
Guidelines for Entries
1. This is an open exhibition and free to take part in. The power of the exhibition is
in the collective response to the theme and the unique identity of each postcard.
2. All artworks must be original – please, no facsimiles of artworks, no print offs
of artworks sent as postcards please. Simply original artworks sent through the
post. No photographs of originals, only the original work in their original medium.
We will only exhibit original works, no copies.
3. The postcard must be usual postcard dimensions, but as imaginative as you
wish. Three dimensional postcards are welcome (eg. light-boxes, sculptural
postcards etc but must be sent in post in packaging) DO NOT HAND DELIVER.
Artwork on front, please fix securely as the post process is a rigorous many
handed thing! Fix if smudge prone.
All postcards must arrive via the post, this is vital to the exhibition purpose.
It must have a stamp on, please weigh to get correct postage amount if heavier
than a usual postcard.
All artworks will face postage wear and tear - this is desired and all part of their
journey.
Maximum of two postcards per artist please. The view may spill over 2 cards if
desired but no more.
4. The View can be made in any medium robust enough for posting; pencil,
charcoal, pastel, photograph, paint, mixed media, collage, ink, illustration, textiles,
etching / printed (not printouts of works please), recycled and renovated. As long
as it is original. You call the shots View-wise.
Writers please take part. Written views are vital and very welcome. Views
containing opinions are important.
Artworks are exhibited at our discretion but we will endeavor to show them all. We
will display with an awareness of our duty of care.
5. The back of the postcard:
