A Visual Comparison
Purpose:
 To observe the characteristics of the phases in the cell cycle, specifically of mitosis
 To compare and contrast mitosis in animal cells and in plant cells
Materials:



Colored pencils
Regular pencil
Procedure:
For each circle, draw and color the pictures listed side by side.
Record the titles and magnifications for both in the lines provided.
Read the sections in the pamphlets for both images.
In the “Important Facts” space, write down the characteristics that animals and plants
share in common at this stage of mitosis.
