Analyzing a circuit means finding the current through, and the potential difference across,
each resistor. To do this we’ll go down the left side of the page and come back up the
right side.
1. Record the resistance values of the resistors.
8. Label each resistor at left
with its current and voltage.
2. Combine two resistors together, re-draw with three
resistors.
7. Label each resistor at left
with its current and voltage.
3. Combine two more together, and re-draw with two
resistors.
6. Label each resistor at left
with its current and voltage.
4. Combine the last two, and re-draw with the one
equivalent resistor.
5. Determine the total
current in the circuit.
