 Number
 For
in your notes from 1-10.
each of the following you and a
partner must decide which religion each
quote or text is from…
1. Then the Lord God formed
man out of the dust of the
ground, and breathed into his
nostrils the breath of life; and
man became a living being.
2. What is the noble truth of
suffering? Birth is suffering,
ageing is suffering and sorrow
and lamentation, pain, grief and
despair are suffering.
3. Surely those who believe, and those who
are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians,
whoever believes in Allah and the Last day
and does good, they shall have their reward
from their Lord, and there is no fear for
them, nor shall they grieve.
4. Consciousness is eternal it is not
vanquished with the destruction of the
temporary body
5. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be
shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God. Blessed are the
peacemakers, for they will be called sons of
God.
6. Prayer carries us half way to God,
fasting brings us to the door of His
palace, and alms-giving procures us
admission.
7. And the Lord said to Moses, "Say to
all the congregation of the people of
Israel, 'You shall be holy; for I the Lord
your God am holy.'"
8. If a man can control his mind he can
find the way to Enlightenment, and all
wisdom and virtue will naturally come
to him.
9. There has never been a time when you
and I have not existed, nor will there be a
time when we will cease to exist. As the
same person inhabits the body through
childhood, youth, and old age, so too at the
time of death he attains another body. The
wise are not deluded by these changes.
10. ‘You must love the Lord your God with
all your heart, all your soul, and all your
mind.’ This is the first and greatest
commandment. A second is equally
important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
