Abstract
Lepidium virginicum (cress) has medicinal properties, it is used to combat skin conditions, hemorrhoids bleeding and cramping.
This plant propagates sexually by seed, but in low percentage, therefore, it is necessary to develop in vitro culture methodologies.
However, not all the regenerated plants can adapt to the external environmental, therefore, it is necessary to assay management
strategies that consider the effect of the medium on regenerated plants. Leaves were collected from the mother and regenerated
plants, were made morphoanatomic analysis according to methodology performed by several authors. The leaves of the mother
plant are equifacial, with slightly elevated stomata. The leaves of the regenerated plants have a homogeneous mesophyll and
elevated stomata. The growth of plants ad in vitro media culture determine changes responsible for their low capacity for
acclimatization.
