Semi-structured interviews, workshops with focus groups and tours to areas of use were conducted in a prioritized area of the Cane-Iguaque river basin (Boyacá - Colombia). Decline of cultural values and ethnobotanical knowledges was found. The inclusion of goods from other cultures has replaced the use of native species by species of exogenous origin, supplying the most important demands, like firewood, timber and medicinal.
