and their relative efficiency; method of moments. Principles of hypotheses testing; tests
for the mean and variance of the normal distribution; tests for the population proportion;
two-sample tests. Linear regression, theory of least squares, testing hypotheses about the
parameters of a linear model; elements of the model diagnostics.
