Course Description:
In this course, we will cover basic circular functions and their inverse, trigonometric
identities and equations, triangle trigonometry, the law of Sines and the law of Cosines.

Grades:
2 exams: 25% each.
Final exam: 30 %.
Homework and in-class quizzes: 20%.
Homework:
Homework will be assigned in class and should be completed before the next class
period. We will review homework in class. Periodically I will collect homework which
will be graded and count as part of the final class grade.
If you are not in class the day I collect homework or give a quiz, your grade will be a
zero for that assignment or quiz.
Note:
*** In-class quizzes and homework will not be made-up. The lowest grade in quizzes or
homework will be dropped.
*** If I am not contacted prior to exam time and you are absent for an exam, your score
for that exam will be a zero. The only accepted excuses will be participation in a UWO
sanctioned event, or illness. For both proof will be required.
Tentative dates for exams:
There will be three one hour exams given during regular class hours.
The tentative dates for exams are:
Exam-1: March 8, Sections 5.1-5.5
Exam-2: April 26, Sections 5.6, 6.1- 6.5
Exam-3 (Final): May 12, Chap 5, Chap 6, Sections 7.1, 7.2
