Fishing Regulations Fish Species Brown Trout Species Description Brown trout mostly from 8-12 inches in length with an occasional fish larger than 20 inches. Sublegal fish are abundant soon after stocking in the spring. There is a little bit of natural reproduction, but the fishery primarily is sustained by annual stocking. Dowagiac Creek is a designated Type 2 trout stream from McKenzie Road upstream from this site to downstream at Hwy M-62 in LaGrange.
