Ms. Alison Shuler is the Program and Internship Coordinator of the Intercollege Master of
Professional Studies in Homeland Security at The Pennsylvania State University. She serves as a
primary day-to-day contact for the program and oversees all facets of program development and
delivery, serves on program committees and the program’s Advisory Council, and manages the
program’s curriculum enhancement initiatives. Previously, Ms. Shuler was the Co-Director of
the Environmental Training and Small Public Water Systems Technology Assistance Centers,
interfacing with multiple levels of governmental agencies and the public/private sector.
Ms. Shuler’s expectations for the Emergency Management Higher Education Symposium
include networking opportunities and learning more about other programs.
