The design is linked to the brand’s history, which began with an apothecary in 1851. In a small East Village studio, John Kiehl handcrafted skin and hair care formulas. Aaron Morse, who started working for the company in the 1920s, was responsible for adapting the ingredients and turning Kiehl’s into a beauty label. Since then, the company grew and grew until it became part of the L’ Oéal group in the 2000s. It now has 900 points of sale worldwide and four main product lines: Dermatological, Body Care, Hair Care and Men’s. Kiehl’s claimed its stake in Brazil four years ago, with a store in the Iguatemi shopping mall, in São Paulo. The good news is that they came to stay. In the first half of 2012 alone, seven new addresses opened up in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte. The goal is to reach 50 points of sale by 2016. www.kiehls.com “Adoro a linha facial de açaí antioxidante. Também uso o sabonete líquido biodegradável, que limpa e hidrata ”, Chiara Gadaleta, apresentadora “I love the Açai anti-oxidant facial line.
