Conductor, composer, pianist, and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
director Robert Spano 09H began a three-year appointment as
University Distinguished Artist-in-Residence this spring. A multiple
Grammy Award winner, Maestro Spano gave public lectures, led concerts
and collaborated on College courses. “I eagerly anticipate exploring
the interdisciplinary nature of music within the vital intellectual
environment at Emory,” Spano says, “and am
deeply honored to have been invited.”
