3G seems to be coming
 too many trials, too many orders
• it will happen, no matter what (even without killer app)
 3G is overly complex
 3G is not designed for IP
• nor is IP designed for 3G
Clearly, there is a need for disruption
 VoIP has already shown some maturity
 WLAN has gained significant interest
 how about combining these?

VoIP over WLAN is an emerging market
 there are still technical hurdles to pass
• time will take care of these
 from business side, it seems to be disruptive but
only for business users
• thus limiting the disruptiveness of the whole scheme
Choice is a difficult one
 too many technologies
• VoWLAN, VoBT, 3G, 802.20, 802.16(?)
• integration into PBX systems?
 fall back to number one (2G, 2,5G, 3G)?
