• What are the different ways that we
communicate with one another?
Non-Verbal Communication
• There is some debate over how much of
communication is non-verbal
• Ex:
– 55% body language, 38% tone of voice, and 7% the
actual words spoken (Mehrabian & Wiener)
– Others suggest 60-70% of communication is nonverbal
• Either way, most of what we communicate is not
in our words
