Propaganda in WWI • Not all Americans were ready or prepared for the requested sacrifices during WWI. • To inspire, them to make these sacrifices, many posters were produced to spread these ideals. For each of the following posters, do the following: • Describe the picture. Be sure to include colors, attitudes displayed by the characters, implements, and any writing. • What parts of your description have a purpose of sending a “special message?” • What is the purpose of this poster? Why were these posters used or needed? What might it imply about the attitudes of Americans toward their involvement in WWI?
