There are three major
types of energy.

•Kinetic energy
•Mechanical energy
Potential Energy: the energy of
something NOT in motion. This item
has the energy stored inside
of it. It is not using the energy right
now.
Potential Energy
When the ball is NOT moving,
it is storing its energy.
Usually an object has potential
energy because of where it is or
because of its condition.
