A. Cranial (Superior)...............toward the head (above)
B. Caudal (Inferior)..............toward the tail (below)
A. Medial..............nearer the midline of the body or a structure
B. Lateral..............Farther away from the midline of the
body or a structure
A. Proximal...................Closer to a structure
B. Distal....................Further away from a structure
A. Superficial................Closer to the surface
B. Deep.....................Farther down below the surface
