Student Organizations
University Players
The University Players is a student organization of Western Carolina University. The Organization works
with the faculty of the School of Stage & Screen in a co-curricular program. Its function is to promote,
improve and create academic and theatrical opportunities for theatre and non-theatre students through
classroom work and production training.
Players will help to contribute to the success of any University production whether Mainstage, Musical
Theatre or University Players in order to increase their understanding of the theatrical profession and its
requirements.
The University Players is organized as a theatrical production company. Membership is open to all
students at Western Carolina University.
